About Mitchell Open Space and Off-road Trails Strategy    

Thank you for your input to date into the Open Space and Off-Road Trails Strategy. It has been invaluable in providing us with local knowledge on existing open space and trails and where improvements can be made.


A Draft Strategy is currently with Mitchell Shire Council for consideration.

@leisure has been engaged by Mitchell Shire Council prepare an Open Space and Off-road Recreational Trails Strategy. This Strategy reviews the existing Strategy, addresses its deficiencies, build upon its strengths and develops a ten year strategy that is reflective of the new challenges and opportunities presented by the continued strong growth of the Shire. The Strategy will provide a planning framework and set of standards for the provision and management of open space across the Shire through to 2021 and beyond.
